40년이라는 긴 세월에도 버번 호그스헤드가 남긴 옅은 황금빛이 잔 안에서 맑게 빛난다. 로우랜드의 카스브리지 그레인 위스키답게 잔을 가까이 하면 바닐라와 코코넛, 잘 익은 멜론의 부드러운 향이 흘러나온다. 입에 머금으면 메이플 시럽과 토피의 단맛이 미끄러지듯 번지고 오랜 숙성이 빚어낸 옅은 오크 타닌이 가볍게 균형을 잡는다. 46.3도의 여운은 달콤한 곡물과 화이트초콜릿을 남기며 부드럽게 사그라든다.
