문 닫힌 글렌유리 로열이 1973년 셰리 호그스헤드에서 31년을 머문 끝에 짙은 마호가니빛이 잔 안쪽을 채운다. 향은 말린 자두와 가죽, 옛 가구의 우드 폴리쉬가 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 50.6도의 입안은 묵직하게 잠겨 진한 다크 초콜릿과 호두, 가벼운 정향의 매콤함이 천천히 발전한다. 사라진 증류소가 남긴 시간의 결이 깊게 머무는 여운으로 오래 이어진다.

restaurant 맛 (팔레트)
same feeling, it’s thick and rich without being heavy. White pepper and tinned pineapples, oranges and litchis, bitter oranges and more white pepper. Quite a lot of caraway seeds as well. Very potent. With water: wonderful. Touches of salt and curcuma, quite funny in this context
timer 피니시
long, a little more candied, with the spiciness becoming more complex as well. More salt and caraway in the aftertaste. Also cloves and juniper, we’re almost at the dentist’s ;-)
