잔을 입가로 가져가기 전 옅은 호박빛이 잔 안에서 잔잔히 잠겨 있다. 코를 가까이 하면 1967년산 글렌유리 로열 특유의 마른 시리얼과 옅은 흙내가 먼저 인사한다. 한 모금을 굴리면 1980년 병입 당시의 시간감이 혀 위에서 천천히 풀린다. 보리 빵과 가벼운 견과류, 옅은 셰리 단맛이 차례로 따라온다. 삼킨 뒤에는 마른 풀과 백후추가 짧고 정직하게 마무리한다.
