노즈는 전형적인 카올 일라다. 중간 강도의 훈연에 버터 같은 기름기가 얹히고 갓 자른 사과와 귤의 과실감, 바닷바람과 굴의 짠기가 순서대로 드러난다. 버번과 그르나슈 루즈 캐스크를 함께 쓴 흔적은 팰럿의 붉은 과일감에서 확인된다. 감초와 연기, 마지팬이 이어지다 시간이 지나면 광물성 쪽으로 기운다. 피니시는 제법 길고 건조하게 피트를 남기는 1984년 빈티지 23년 숙성이다.
