잔을 가볍게 흔들면 1964년 증류된 깊은 호박빛이 천천히 잔 벽을 타고 흐른다. 코를 가까이 가져가면 잘 익은 과일과 밀랍, 옅은 소금기의 향이 섬세하게 올라온다. 한 모금을 입에 머금고 굴리면 45.7도의 부드러운 질감 위로 농축된 과일과 꿀의 단맛이 번진다. 천천히 삼키면 사라진 밴프 증류소의 오래된 왁스 같은 여운이 또렷이 깃들어 길게 남는다.
