잔을 가볍게 돌리면 폐쇄된 글렌 알빈의 1979년 원액이 옅은 금빛으로 잔에 잠긴다. 코를 가져가면 오크 캐스크가 키운 마른 풀과 꿀, 옅은 흙내음이 은은하게 올라온다. 잔을 흔들면 배와 보리의 단맛이 따라온다. 한 모금 머금으면 43도의 부드러운 술이 맑은 과일의 단맛을 가볍게 혀에 얹는다. 사라진 증류소의 흔적처럼 마른 곡물의 여운이 조용히 가라앉는다.
