오래 묵은 호박빛이 잔 속에 그윽하게 어린다. 사라진 하이랜드 증류소 글렌 알빈이 1964년에 증류해 25년을 보낸 이 빈티지 보틀링은 마른 풀과 꿀, 옅은 왁스의 향을 고즈넉하게 풀어놓는다. 58도의 묵직한 질감이 입안에서 보리사탕과 시트러스, 광물성 풍미를 그려낸다. 반세기 전 증류된 유산답게 마무리는 마른 오크와 함께 길게 이어진다.

rather hot and grainy but the grain is sweet and nicely creamy. Things like buttery popcorn and coconut coming through. I also find gorse, some dried yellow flowers, wet tea leaves and some hints of sherry with this rather elegant gingery warmth. Can’t seem to decide whether it wants to be powerful or restrained. In time the sherry and sweeter tones really start to sing beautifully. With water: much grainier and more youthful with cereal sweetness, barley sugar and heather honey
