잔을 기울이면 옅은 황금빛이 유리벽을 따라 느릿하게 흐른다. 코끝에 가져가면 1963년에 증류된 오래된 몰트다운 마른 풀과 꿀, 은은한 시트러스가 차례로 올라온다. 한 모금을 머금으면 40도의 순한 기운 속에 보리 단맛과 밀랍, 옅은 향신료가 부드럽게 번진다. 지금은 철거된 글렌 알빈이 남긴 이 위스키는 사라진 하이랜드의 단정한 풍미를 전한다. 삼키면 꿀과 마른 곡물의 여운이 은은하게 이어진다.
