옅은 금빛이 잔에 담겨 조용히 흔들린다. 1984년 증류액은 전형적인 아일라의 얼굴로 버터 같은 연기와 갓 자른 사과, 귤을 함께 내놓는다. 코끝에는 바닷바람과 생굴의 서늘한 기운이 스친다. 53.2도의 입은 감초와 연기로 시작해 과일 샐러드와 마지팬으로 번진다. 시간이 지날수록 재와 광물의 인상이 앞서며 축이 옮겨간다. 여운은 마르고 깨끗하게 이탄만 남긴 채 끝까지 이어진다.
