창백한 빛이 잔 안에 얕게 어린다. 1995년 버번 캐스크에서 13년을 보낸 이 보틀링은 여느 카올 일라만큼 맑지는 않아, 향에서 젖은 종이와 삶은 채소, 양모와 생강의 다소 무거운 냄새가 먼저 다가온다. 입에서는 석류 시럽과 딸기 시럽 같은 단맛이 이탄의 연기와 서로 밀치며 쓴맛과 신맛이 함께 얽힌다. 59.8도의 도수가 그 긴장을 더 팽팽하게 만든다. 여운은 제법 길고 소금기가 뒤늦게 올라온다.
