노즈는 파라핀과 젖은 분필, 다듬지 않은 양모의 인상으로 시작해 상당히 금욕적이다. 굴과 재의 뉘앙스가 뒤따르고 시간이 지나면 농장 냄새에 가까운 결이 드러난다. 58.1도의 팰럿은 거칠고 직선적이며 레몬 껍질과 라임즙의 산미가 미네랄과 맞물린다. 물을 더하면 소금기와 포도씨의 쌉쌀함이 명확하게 드러난다. 1989년 빈티지의 이 카올 일라는 화려함 대신 구조감으로 승부하는 스타일이다.
