테이스팅 노트
잔을 손안에서 돌리면 짙은 적갈색이 잔 벽을 따라 끈적하게 흘러내린다. 코를 가까이 가져가면 건포도와 가죽, 볶은 견과의 향이 진하게 올라온다. 한 모금을 머금으면 54.1도의 도수가 혀를 단단히 데우며 말린 자두와 흑설탕, 정향이 번진다. 셰리 캐스크에서 30년을 보낸 글렌 모어는 오래전 사라진 하이랜드 증류소답게 깊은 셰리의 단맛과 시간의 무게를 한 잔에 담는다. 삼키고 나면 말린 과일과 가죽의 풍미가 입천장에 오래 남는다.

it seems that the cask was just a lazy b****d, this could be ten years old. In a sense, that’s great because it gives us the opportunity to taste an almost newmaky Glen Mhor 30 years after the distillery’s been closed. So grass, grass and grass plus a few farmyardy notes and quite some yeast (It’s not feinty but we’re close) as well as a few gingery/grassy spices. Having said that, I enjoy the whiffs of rubbed grapefruit and lemon skins very much. Graphite oil. With water: becomes very whacky. Cheese and vinegar… ahem…
restaurant 맛 (팔레트)
you’d think you’re quaffing sunflower oil mixed with lemon juice. So we’re having a thickish yet very nervous mouth feel (certainly not 30 years old) and some bitter oranges (almost green). Cider apples. With water: nicer this time, lemon and tarty riesling
