연한 화이트 와인빛이 잔에 옅게 감돈다. 리필 호그스헤드에서 29년을 견딘 1984년 원액은 화려함 대신 극도의 결백함을 택했다. 향은 젖은 돌과 젖은 양모, 굴과 요오드가 군더더기 없이 이어지고 갓 깐 호두가 끝을 맺는다. 54.6도의 입에서는 후추 뿌린 굴 같은 짠맛과 감초가 앞서다 퍼지와 카페라테의 고소한 단맛이 뒤늦게 스민다. 여운은 길고 더 짜며 대추야자의 단맛이 얇게 남는다.
