창백한 금빛이 잔 안에 조용히 머문다. 1984년 원액을 리필 호그스헤드에서 30년 재운 이 위스키는 카올 일라의 교과서 같은 얼굴을 보여준다. 향은 버터 같은 부드러움 위로 갓 자른 사과와 귤이 올라오고 바닷바람과 굴의 짠내가 뒤섞인다. 53.2도의 입은 감초와 연기, 과일 샐러드, 마지팬을 오가다 점차 재의 기운으로 기운다. 여운은 길고 건조하며 이탄이 깨끗하게 마무리된다.
