잔을 코끝으로 가져가면 짙은 금빛에 비해 향이 뜻밖에 조용하고 오크와 오렌지 껍질만 낮게 맴돈다. 흔들어 기다리면 오래된 백포도주 같은 시큼함과 흙 그리고 뿌리 냄새가 뒤늦게 열린다. 한 모금을 머금으면 46도치고 힘이 앞서며 오렌지 사탕과 오래 우린 홍차의 떫음이 함께 온다. 삼킨 다음에는 딸기 사탕 같은 단내가 마른 종이 결과 섞여 길게 남는다.
