스페이사이드 더프타운의 부드러운 공기 속에서 자란 글렌둘란은 18년의 시간을 셰리 캐스크에서 침착히 견딘다. 잔에는 깊은 마호가니가 또렷이 깃들어 있고 셰리 캐스크가 빚어낸 건자두와 무화과, 그리고 가죽의 향이 일어난다. 64도의 압도적 무게에도 입안에서는 다크 초콜릿과 호두, 잘 마른 담뱃잎의 단맛이 깊게 머문다. 여운에는 셰리의 진한 단맛과 오크 향신료가 길게 이어진다.

who cares if it’s the cask that did all the work? This is pretty magnificent, surprisingly smooth (ha, smooth!) and laden with notes of old polished wood, pipe tobacco, cedar wood, Seville oranges and then wet rocks and gravel. It’s got a slight cognacqy side, with touches of ripe peaches and maybe a little rancio. Pure loveliness and no ‘excesses’. With water: once again, more medicinal notes – beautiful ones. Natural camphor, turpentine, tincture of iodine… Then more fresh almonds
