테이스팅 노트
잔을 흔들어 향을 열면 레몬과 굴, 마른 다시마가 놀랄 만큼 맑게 정돈되어 올라온다. 코를 더 넣으면 젖은 백묵과 풀기 있는 이탄이 이어지고 요오드 같은 약재 향이 뒤늦게 배어난다. 한 모금을 머금으면 53.8도의 힘이 짠맛을 앞세워 훈제 청어와 연어를 떠올리게 하고, 용담 뿌리와 딜이 그 사이를 가른다. 삼키면 스물일곱 해가 무색할 만큼 곧고 깨끗한 바다 연기가 이어진다.

punchy, salty and very, very ‘fishy’. Maybe one of the most ‘fishmongeriest’ (!! – at least I’m sure you see what I mean.) whiskies I ever tried. Kippers and smoked salmon plus a lot of gentian, roots, dill… Spectacular whisky

very long and still very clean and hugely maritime, with a very, very peaty aftertaste
