옅은 밀짚빛이 잔 안에서 맑게 빛난다. 1984년 빈티지의 카올 일라를 33년이나 리필 호그스헤드에서 재운 만큼, 거센 피트는 한풀 가라앉고 바닷내음과 레몬, 마른 풀의 향이 섬세하게 떠오른다. 49.8도의 입맛은 부드러우면서도 또렷해, 훈연한 소금기와 배, 옅은 후추가 혀를 천천히 적신다. 오래된 아일라 특유의 차가운 재와 감귤의 여운이 길고 깨끗하게 남는다.

Well, that, more or less. With water: careful, please never drown these oldsters. Actually, it doesn’t even stand a single drop of H2O on the palate or it would become dry and drying. No water is the way here
