테이스팅 노트
잔을 흔들면 재와 아스파라거스, 부러진 나뭇가지, 풋바나나가 차례로 올라오고 해초와 조개껍데기가 그 사이에 낀다. 이탄은 순하게 눌려 있다. 52.4도를 한 모금 머금으면 부드러운 시트러스와 사과가 우아하게 퍼지고 자몽과 파파야, 오렌지, 티무트 후추가 뒤를 잇는다. 24년을 보낸 술이라기엔 놀랄 만큼 생생해 나이가 잘 드러나지 않는다. 삼키고 나면 재가 한층 짙어지며 중간 길이로 이어진다.

a lot of elegance, around softer citrus and precious apples. A very mild honeyness, touches of grapefruit and papaya, oranges, Timut pepper, and only then some 'coastal peat'. It's quite typical of an older Caol Ila that doesn't really show its age, as we've noticed with those marvellous 30 or 40-year-olds that remain fresh as a daisy (watch this page). With water: magnificent, very fresh and elegant. Sweet liquorice, a touch of candied ginger but nothing too serious
