테이스팅 노트
짙은 금빛이 잔 속에 무겁게 잠겨 있다. 1977년에 증류해 26년을 보낸 이 쿨일라는 향부터 층이 두껍다. 마른 허브와 향나무 그리고 감초가 겹치고 그 사이로 해초와 연기가 스민다. 물을 더하면 무화과와 파파야 같은 열대 과일이 뜻밖에 열린다. 57.7도의 입질은 격렬하지만 레몬과 굴 그리고 소금이 균형을 잡아준다. 민트와 고수 같은 향신료가 끝까지 방향을 잃지 않는다. 여운은 끝을 가늠하기 어려울 만큼 길고 초점이 곧다.

ah, it seems that this is more complex even if the high alcohol blocks it a bit (just a bit). More on dried herbs, smoke of course, incense, sandalwood, hints of wet dogs, seaweed, liquorice… Very curious to see what happens with water. With water: oh my! Fantastic development, even more complex. Some figs (figs in an unsherried Caol Ila?), many other dried fruits, something clearly tropical (papayas?), medicinal, fresh… Okay, let’s issue a maltoporn alert
restaurant 맛 (팔레트)
ultra-punchy but magnificently lemony and coastal once again (you know, salt, fish, oysters…) Once again, the extra-dimension comes from the various herbs and spices that are to be found here, including mint, liquorice wood, lemon balm, coriander and many, many others. Fantastic palate so far, and I doubt it’ll collapse after careful reduction. Let’s see… With water: you bet!
