테이스팅 노트
리필 펀천에서 17년을 보낸 시간이 알타바인의 가벼운 보리를 천천히 익혔다. 오랜 우드의 영향으로 코에는 풋사과와 바닐라, 옅은 꿀 향이 산뜻하게 올라온다. 입에서는 60.1도의 높은 도수를 타고 시트러스와 보리 단맛, 약간의 향신료가 단단하게 맞물린다. 스페이사이드 몰트다운 맑고 가벼운 질감이 중심을 받치고, 옅은 황금빛 끝에는 꿀과 시트러스의 여운이 길게 이어진다.

Starts on long abandoned cow stable and quite some wine vinegar, then we have new plastic (supermarket pouches as we had a few years ago), aspirin tablets, the same chalkiness as in the 1993, some spearmint, some chocolate, rotting oranges, herbs, game, oyster sauce… Once again it isn’t really brutal despite the high strength but it’s really, well, unusual. With water: it became even more farmy and gamy. There’s also much more mint, lemon, leather and flints/gunpowder. Quite rebellious, so to speak…

rich, creamy and certainly less unusual than on the nose. A powerful tannicity, cardamom, grass, bitter oranges, truckloads of liquorice and touches of caramel. Quite a beast, this one!
