테이스팅 노트
연한 황금빛이 잔 안에서 낮게 흔들린다. 세계를 도는 시리즈의 한 병으로 내놓은 이 배치는 55.1도의 도수를 그대로 안아 향이 대담하게 열린다. 말린 과실의 단내가 잠깐 스친 뒤 연기와 고무, 후추가 앞다투어 터져 나온다. 입에서는 감초와 마지팬, 말린 생강이 차례로 이어지며 결이 빽빽하다. 여운은 아주 길고 단맛과 짠맛이 겹쳐 아일라 몰트의 성격을 또렷이 드러낸다.

wow, what a nice attack! Dried fruits right at the start, but lots of smoke, rubber and pepper bursting out after just two or three seconds. Wow, it’s bold and compact, too bad there are a few sweetish notes… the sherry? It’s nice, but I feel this cask would have deserved to be bottled ‘naked’. Bold development, on liquorice, marzipan, dried ginger… Very, very nice indeed! The finish is very long, nicely balanced, with a strange ‘sweet-and-salty’ feeling. A excellent bottling! 88 points .
