맑은 황금빛이 잔 속에 잠겨 있다. 리필 호그스헤드에서 32년을 보낸 쿨일라답게 옅은 피트 연기와 레몬, 바다 내음이 섬세하게 피어오른다. 한 모금 머금으면 시트러스와 은은한 훈연이 미끄러지듯 번지고, 긴 숙성이 51.8도의 힘을 부드럽게 다듬는다. 아일라의 절제된 연기가 세월에 둥글어진 채 또렷이 깃들어 있으며, 여운은 마른 연기와 소금기, 레몬의 청량함으로 길게 남는다.

very, very, indeed quite astonishing, almost kicking off with verbena liqueur (Verveine du Velay). Then it moves through a few other herbal and liqueur-like notes (yellow Chartreuse) before settling back into the usual suspects of an old CI—shells, ashes, seaweed, gherkins, toasted sesame oil and even olive oil, which has turned up in several recent drams.
