향미 프로필
테이스팅 노트
노즈에서는 부싯돌 같은 미네랄 향이 가장 먼저 두드러진다. 60.8도의 높은 도수 탓에 초반은 거칠지만 물을 더하면 배와 산딸기의 과실이 또렷하게 드러나고 어린 원액 특유의 풋풋한 훈연이 따라온다. 팰럿은 강렬하고 달다. 오크 버트에서 12년을 보낸 1995 빈티지답게 아직 스피릿의 골격이 살아 있으며 피니시는 용담 뿌리와 이탄 연기, 소금기가 길게 이어진다. 블랙애더 로우 캐스크 특유의 여과 없는 질감이 구조감을 만든다.

Rather pungent and aggressive without water, so let’s water it down right away… With water: it’s its youth that comes out, with wagons of pears and a kind of fruity smokiness that’s hard to describe. Very simple spirit, but very appealing spirit. Superb notes of raspberries coming through after a few seconds. Fruit eau-de-vie from Islay?

very strong, extremely sweet, and tasting just like some kind of a peated pear spirit that just ran out of the still. Brutal! With water: ah yes, now it became absolutely superb… except that it’s much more gentian spirit than whisky. Amazing – did the cask transit through the Alps?
