테이스팅 노트
블랙애더 로우 캐스크 시리즈답게 여과를 거치지 않은 원액의 밀도가 노즈에서 먼저 두드러진다. 61.2도의 도수 아래 눅눅한 이탄과 왁스, 마른 감귤 껍질이 명확하게 드러난다. 팰럿은 강하게 조이면서도 25년의 숙성이 준 기름진 질감을 유지하고 감초와 소금기, 검은 후추가 이어진다. 피니시는 매우 길고 재와 미네랄이 깊게 머문다. 1979년 빈티지의 무게를 도수로 눌러 담은 구성이다.

starts yeastier and farmier than usual, with quite some hot milk and some herbal notes (dill). Gets a little resinous and quite ‘vanilled’… Rather complex in fact, a nice expression of Balvenie without the usual sweetness and roundness

rather nervous, with lots of vanilla (should I add ‘of course’?) and liquorice, going on with some cooked green vegetables and quite some caramel. A style on its own! Some interesting notes of white rum (ti-punch) and a rather long finish, just slightly too drying. Anyway, I like this one quite a lot. 86 points .
