테이스팅 노트
셰리 캐스크에서 15년을 보낸 시간이 잔 안에서 또렷이 살아 있다. 1985 빈티지의 부쉬밀스가 북아일랜드 특유의 부드러운 곡물 단맛에 셰리의 잘 익은 자두, 호두, 흑설탕의 단맛을 더한다. 56.5도 캐스크 스트렝스가 풀바디로 입을 채운다. 코에는 절인 무화과, 다크 초콜릿, 옅은 가죽이 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 입안에서는 카카오, 시나몬, 토피의 결이 차례로 발전한다. 짙은 호박빛 끝자락에 셰리의 단맛이 길게 머문다.

much more discreet at first nosing but maybe more elegant, with the usual fruitiness being sort of tamed by the rum – or so it seems. Apples, bananas and pears with a little candy sugar and an unusual grassiness as well as something delicately mashy (heavily buttered mashed potatoes like Joël Robuchon did in his older Parisian restaurant, 50% butter and 50% potatoes). We have also quite some flowery notes, pollen, light honey and hints of vanilla crème… Rather dainty, I’d say

excellent attack, again with maybe more balance and delicacy despite the huge fruitiness (you see what I mean, don’t you). Nice notes of bergamots and candy sugar, caramel-topped pears, nougat, halva… And a long finish, maybe a little more MOTR now, more simply sweet and fruity. Much closer to a ‘regular’ Bushmills than the 1984 of course and very good. 85 points . Bushmills 1993 ‘bourbon’ (56.5%, OB for LMdW Paris, cask #298, 2006)
