잔을 천천히 돌리면 옅은 금빛이 잔 안에서 느릿하게 돈다. 코끝에 가져가면 쿨일라다운 부드러운 연기와 레몬, 바닷바람의 짠 내음이 산뜻하게 올라온다. 58.8도를 한 모금 머금으면 30년 숙성이 다듬은 기름진 질감 위로 잘 익은 배와 재의 스모크가 번진다. 1980년 증류된 쿨일라답게 피트가 날카롭지 않고 우아하게 가라앉아 있고, 삼키면 은은한 연기가 끝까지 따라온다.
