북동부 하이랜드 샌덴드 만의 모래 해변 곁에 자리한 글렌글라사는 바다와 맞닿은 풍토를 그대로 담는다. 셰리 버트에서 25년을 보낸 이 올드 몰트 캐스크는 짙은 호박빛을 띠고, 말린 과일과 토피, 옅은 짠 내가 어우러진다. 입에 머금으면 50도의 도수 위로 건포도와 견과류, 해풍을 닮은 미네랄이 깊게 머문다. 해안 증류소다운 짭조름함과 오랜 셰리의 깊이가 또렷하며, 여운은 흑설탕과 소금기로 길게 이어진다.

With water: more hay, pu-erh tea and lemongrass. More austere than its sibling, more elegant too. More sweet oak coming through after a while. Big vanilla after fifteen minutes

we’re closer to the Special 02 in style, only with more spicy oak and a very faint dustiness. Various spices, first ginger, then dried cardamom and unusual notes of rosemary and sage.
