테이스팅 노트
잔을 들어 햇빛에 비추면 1977년 빈티지의 시간이 깃든 짙은 마호가니빛이 잔 안쪽에 깊게 잠겨 있다. 잔에 코를 가까이 대면 일본 카루이자와의 사라진 증류소답게 진한 셰리와 말린 자두, 가죽 향이 가장 먼저 마중한다. 한 모금을 머금으면 31년 숙성의 두꺼운 단맛과 62.7도 알코올의 강한 힘이 입안을 가득 채운다. 다크 초콜릿과 구운 호두, 묵직한 토피가 입천장을 깊게 덮는다. 삼킨 뒤 따라가는 여운에서 가죽과 시나몬, 흙 노트의 잔향이 한참 깊게 머문다.

less extreme than cask #4592 but there’s a lot of gunpowder again, some leather, peach and cherry leaves, flints, ink… Some meat as well, pemmican, bacon… Starts to resemble cask #4592 after a moment, though, becoming almost identical despite the very different colours (so, it can’t be the same cask, can it!) With water: same development as with its sibling, only a tad more inky and metallic. Also a tad more chocolaty. Very same very high quality in any case

extremely close to cask #4592, maybe just a tad creamier and jammier… but severely hot and powerful. So, with water: yes, very similar. Maybe a little more oranges?
