향미 프로필
테이스팅 노트
호그스헤드에서 15년을 보낸 1992년 원액은 향의 초반부터 정향과 주니퍼의 향신료감이 명확하게 드러난다. 뒤이어 비터 오렌지와 자몽 껍질, 부싯돌과 분필 같은 미네랄이 층을 이루며 발전한다. 팰럿에서는 금귤과 진저 토닉, 따뜻한 버터의 유질감이 잡히고 시가 담뱃잎의 마른 쓴맛이 중심을 잡는다. 46도 병입이라 질감은 절제돼 있으나 구조감은 단단하다. 피니시는 중간 이상 길이로 채소 뿌리와 쓴 감귤의 여운을 남긴다.

very nice! Starts almost as spicy and assertive as more recent Springbanks can be, with huge notes of cloves and juniper on top of bitter oranges and grapefruits, then a rather big minerality (gunflints, chalk, clay), faint whiffs of coal and wood ashes, and finally that pleasantly dirty farminess that sometimes comes with the package (dusty farmyard after a heavy summer rain- whatever!). I like this nose a lot, even – or maybe because – it’s a little understated
restaurant 맛 (팔레트)
as often with the distillery’s recent outputs, the attack is a tad ‘shaky’ and guess what, I like that! Oranges and kumquats, ginger tonic and Campari, warm butter and sour cream, all that at the same time! More and more bitter oranges after that, a faint dustiness (cigar tobacco) and finally something vegetal, between celeriac and salsify. Very, very entertaining whisky, kind of anti-classical if I may say so
