버번 배럴 하나가 딘스톤의 맑은 원액에 꿀빛 단맛을 새겼다. 열두 해를 보낸 이 하이랜드 위스키는 59.9도의 높은 기운에도 향에서 꿀과 잘 익은 배, 바닐라가 환하게 솟는다. 입에서는 보리사탕과 시트러스, 구운 견과의 단맛이 두꺼운 질감으로 흐르고, 강한 도수가 풋사과의 산미를 단단히 받친다. 맑은 황금빛 아래로 꿀과 흰 후추의 깔끔한 여운이 길게 이어진다.

With water: turns slightly cloudy, releasing paraffin, candle wax, and a hint of fresh coriander, mercifully without soapiness

crisp, taut, fruity, impeccable. Truly spot on, with green apple juice, melon, and lemon, spiced with pepper, liquorice, and nutmeg, plus a hint of wild thyme (softer than common thyme) and dill. With water: waxiness re-emerges, accompanied by white pepper and coriander seed. Lovely mouthfeel, though it sacrifices a touch of its fruitiness when diluted (alas, we cannot linger as long as one might wish when reducing our drams)
