오랜 세월이 응축된 적갈색이 잔 속에 깊이 고여 묵직한 빛을 머금는다. 셰리 버트가 남긴 말린 무화과와 오래된 가죽 향 사이로 캠벨타운 특유의 비릿한 바다 내음과 기름진 결이 천천히 배어 나온다. 입에 닿으면 호두와 다크초콜릿의 진한 단맛이 혀를 감싸고, 1969년 증류해 30년을 보낸 시간이 빚어낸 묵은 참나무의 깊이가 또렷이 드러난다. 50도의 알코올은 매끄럽게 가라앉으며, 짭조름한 광물과 그을린 가죽의 여운이 오래 남는다.
