잔을 코앞에서 흔들면 오래된 나무와 젖은 솔방울, 유칼립투스의 서늘한 향이 먼저 밀려오고 뒤이어 랑시오와 가죽 안장, 시가 보관함의 냄새가 층을 이룬다. 한 모금을 머금으면 검은 건포도와 코코아 가루, 박하 리큐어가 차례로 지나가고 호두 같은 셰리의 고소함이 뒤를 받친다. 1969년 원액을 셰리 호그스헤드에서 재워 46도로 담았다. 삼킨 뒤에는 정향과 계피, 쌉쌀한 오렌지가 마른 결로 길게 이어진다.

the oak may feel a little too much now, and it's some kind of old French oak, akin to what you may find in a very old Bourgogne that got a little dry. Having said that, everything that sits behind it is just perfect, from black raisins to cigars and from cocoa powder to crème de menthe. And let's not forget Seville oranges, and a rather walnutty sherry
