테이스팅 노트
1965년에 증류해 1991년에 병입된 이 위스키는 노즈부터 금욕적이고 거칠다. 마른 풀과 오트밀 죽 같은 곡물 향이 가장 먼저 두드러지고 바닐라가 그 위를 얇게 덮는다. 46도의 팰럿은 오랜 숙성에도 놀랄 만큼 날것의 풀 향이 강하며 설탕에 절인 과일과 오크의 떫은맛이 뒤따른다. 여러 번 사용한 리필 캐스크가 스피릿을 거의 바꾸지 않았음을 보여주는 사례다. 피니시는 길고 과실감이 남지만 여전히 어린 인상이다.

exactly the same happens on the palate, a huge, raw whisky with a big grassiness and notes of candied fruits plus quite some oak. Not easy. With water: this is better and we’re now extremely close to the 12yo by JMcA. Frankly, it’s exactly as if 29-12=17 more years of maturing didn’t change anything to this Pittyvaich. Probably a multiple refill cask
