잔을 천천히 흔들면 1985년 크라간모어가 리필 아메리칸 오크 호그스헤드에서 38년을 보낸 시간이 옅은 황금빛으로 잔벽을 미끄러진다. 잔을 코앞에 가져가면 캐스크 오브 디스팅션답게 잘 익은 배와 마른 꿀, 가벼운 풀 향이 차례로 다가온다. 한 모금을 머금으면 45.3도의 부드러운 출력이 혀 위에서 풀리고 스페이사이드답게 절제된 단맛과 옅은 시트러스가 천천히 발전한다. 삼킨 자리에는 마른 오크의 잔향이 깊게 머문다.

glory to refill casks! A myriad of garden and orchard fruits, all perfectly ripe with none overshadowing the others. In other words, no mango oh-la-la (though we do love mango, of course). very, very beautiful, somewhat more complex this time, with elderflower, for example. The wood expresses itself with tones of black tea and cinnamon, with hints of caraway and anise. It's rather pure and of great elegance. The mirabelle tarte comes next, reminiscent of a famous malt from Dufftown which we shall not name. This tarte is also sprinkled with a bit of cinnamon and drizzled with some wildflower honey. Much delicacy, then
