북부 하이랜드 도르노흐 만의 발블레어는 바다와 맞닿은 풍토 속에서 산뜻한 몰트를 빚는다. XO 코냑 옥타브에서 마무리한 10년산은 옅은 황금빛을 띤다. 향에서는 잘 익은 살구와 꿀, 코냑이 더한 포도의 달큰함이 또렷하게 올라오고 옅은 오크가 더해진다. 46도의 입안에서는 시트러스와 보리 단맛, 가벼운 오크 향신료가 둥글게 흐른다. 중간에는 건포도와 바닐라의 부드러운 단맛이 크림 질감으로 퍼진다. 코냑이 남긴 과일 단맛과 오크의 여운이 길고 부드럽게 남는다.
