향미 프로필
테이스팅 노트
연한 금빛이 잔 속에 맑게 퍼지며 리필 호그스헤드의 절제된 손길을 드러낸다. 향은 뜻밖에도 채소밭을 닮았다. 셀러리악과 비트, 구운 밤과 호두가 젖은 흙과 진흙 냄새 위로 겹겹이 쌓인다. 49.9도의 입은 소금 친 아티초크와 순무, 잉크와 담뱃잎의 쓴맛이 뒤엉켜 산업적인 매끈함과는 거리가 멀다. 여운은 길고 짜며 흙과 잉크의 결이 남아 스물한 해를 보낸 스프링뱅크의 고집을 그대로 전한다.

oh, vegetables! Quite uncommon in Scotch whisky, celeriac, French beans, beets, salsify… and then roasted chestnuts, walnuts (from the sherry?), artichokes, then damp earth, clay, mud… This is so very Springbank, and so very un-industrial!

oooh… Gives you faith in Scotch, and would shoot you down using lettuce, turnips, salted Jerusalem artichokes, and a curious mixture that would involve plaster, rust, ink, tobacco, and crushed anchovies. What we can anchoïade over here in France. No tomatoes, though. A totally brilliant cask, one that may repel newcomers, which is good for us. No?
