향미 프로필
테이스팅 노트
황금빛이 맑게 잔을 채우지만 포트 캐스크의 붉은 기운은 좀처럼 드러나지 않는다. 향은 갓 칠한 페인트와 신문 잉크처럼 메마르고 금욕적이며, 물을 더하면 젖은 양모와 곡물, 광물의 냄새가 뒤늦게 열린다. 46도의 입은 강하고 쓰다. 진한 허브 리큐어와 설탕에 절인 레몬 껍질이 혀를 조이고 삼키기 전까지 긴장을 놓지 않는다. 여운은 길고 풀내가 짙어, 즐거움보다 사색을 요구하는 열 해짜리 몰트다.

extremely powerful to say the least, bitter… Hard to swallow. Notes of ultra-strong herb liqueur. With water: it’s more lemony (crystallized lemon zests) and more on porridge
timer 피니시
long, still austere, very grassy, quite demanding. A very serious malt, sort of respectable but not made to give you much pleasure (not unlike my math teacher, 30 years ago – I hope she’s still alive but does not read Whiskyfun!). But it’s very interesting malt. 83 points.
