향미 프로필
테이스팅 노트
노즈에서는 퍼스트필 켄터키 배럴에서 온 바닐라와 카라멜, 잘 익은 과실 향이 가장 먼저 두드러지고 페터케언 특유의 옅은 견과류가 뒤따른다. 2008년 빈티지의 페터케언 13년은 버번 캐스크 숙성의 단정한 결을 잘 보여준다. 팰럿은 58.4도의 도수로 꿀과 토피, 가벼운 향신료가 단단한 균형을 이루며 발전한다. 피니시는 바닐라와 오크의 여운이 길게 이어지며 하이랜드 몰트의 깔끔함을 보여준다.

Extremely hot and raw – but maybe for the hipflask if you like to go fishing at 6am… With water: gets a little bitter, very sooty, with rather a lot of rubber if not soap. Having said, that, we know that’s part of this distillate’s inherent style, so it is not ‘a flaw’. It’s just a very unusual malt whisky

long, waxy and earthy. The aftertaste is a tad rubbery again
