잔을 코끝으로 가져가면 짚빛 술에서 축축한 백묵과 조개껍데기 냄새가 먼저 올라온다. 리필 버번 호그스헤드에서 22년을 보낸 이 보틀링은 과일보다 흙과 약재 쪽으로 기울어 있다. 한 모금을 머금으면 광물성 미네랄과 멘톨, 다듬지 않은 양털의 거친 결이 혀를 덮고 날 선 레몬이 그 사이를 가른다. 물을 조금 섞어 삼키면 55.8도의 각이 풀리며 맑아지고 분필 같은 건조한 여운이 길게 이어지다 마지막에 옅은 단맛만 남긴다.
