오랜 세월이 응축된 짙은 호박빛이 잔 속에 깊게 잠겨 있다. 1964년 증류된 캠벨타운의 스프링뱅크가 32년을 견딘 흔적은 마른 과일과 가죽, 옅은 바다 소금기로 코끝에 번진다. 51.5도의 힘은 입안에서 오렌지 껍질과 묵직한 꿀, 은은한 그을음으로 풀린다. 긴 여운은 짭조름한 광물과 오래된 오크의 떫은 기운을 천천히 남기며 식는다. 반세기 가까운 시간이 빚은 깊이가 마지막까지 또렷이 깃들어 있다.
