테이스팅 노트
하이랜드 글렌모렌지가 1995년에 받아낸 원액이 버번 호그스헤드 한 통에서 십이 년을 보낸 SMWS 125번 코드의 매직 스파이시즈가 잔에 잘 익은 황금빛으로 머금어진다. 오십칠 점 육 도의 강도에도 본연의 우아함이 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 향에서 잘 익은 복숭아와 시트러스 껍질, 옅은 향신료가 부드럽게 솟아오른다. 입에서는 살구 콩피와 호두 기름, 클로브의 매콤함이 부드럽게 풀려간다. 글렌모렌지의 정밀한 끝맛이 깊게 머문다.

powerful and youthful, starting on caramel, cooked butter and vanilla. It’s soon to get very grassy, vase water, hay. Whiffs of peat and rubber – the latter growing stronger and stronger. It gets very farmy at the same time, and then develops on lavender perfume, before it goes back to cooked butter and stays there. Nice, and much more complex than expected!
restaurant 맛 (팔레트)
a very sweet, yet powerful attack, but it’s soon to get spirity, malty and grassy again, with lots of liquorice and cold infused tealeaves. Violet sweets, toffee, liquorice stick, cold strong coffee. Perhaps it lacks some complexity now, but I guess that isn’t the main purpose of a 10 yo malt bottled at 100 (UK) proof. The finish is long and bold, getting a little too bitter. I still like this now discontinued malt, hence my very good rating: 85 points . Glenmorangie ‘Traditional’ (57.2%, OB, circa 2004)
