테이스팅 노트
잔을 천천히 돌리면 글렌모렌지 17년이 1차 추출 아몬티야도 셰리 버트에서 보낸 시간이 짙은 호박빛으로 잔벽을 미끄러진다. 잔을 코끝에 가져가면 레어 캐스크다운 잘 익은 살구와 호두, 가벼운 가죽 향이 차례로 마중한다. 한 모금을 머금으면 57.3도의 강한 출력이 혀를 단단히 누르고 아몬티야도 캐스크답게 빽빽한 견과 단맛과 옅은 산미가 입천장 위에서 발전한다. 삼킨 자리에는 마른 셰리 같은 잔향이 길게 따라 올라온다.

powerful and youthful, starting on caramel, cooked butter and vanilla. It’s soon to get very grassy, vase water, hay. Whiffs of peat and rubber – the latter growing stronger and stronger. It gets very farmy at the same time, and then develops on lavender perfume, before it goes back to cooked butter and stays there. Nice, and much more complex than expected!
restaurant 맛 (팔레트)
a very sweet, yet powerful attack, but it’s soon to get spirity, malty and grassy again, with lots of liquorice and cold infused tealeaves. Violet sweets, toffee, liquorice stick, cold strong coffee. Perhaps it lacks some complexity now, but I guess that isn’t the main purpose of a 10 yo malt bottled at 100 (UK) proof. The finish is long and bold, getting a little too bitter. I still like this now discontinued malt, hence my very good rating: 85 points . Glenmorangie ‘Traditional’ (57.2%, OB, circa 2004)
