테이스팅 노트
하일랜드 북부 테인의 서늘한 공기와 맑은 샘물이 글렌모렌지의 매끈한 결을 오래 길러 왔다. 버번에 이어 모스카텔 캐스크에서 마무리한 13년산은 연분홍이 감도는 살굿빛을 잔에 드리운다. 잔을 기울이면 블랙커런트와 라즈베리, 모란 같은 꽃향이 달큰하게 피어오르며 한데 어우러진다. 46도의 부드러운 도수 위로 라즈베리 시럽과 잘 익은 붉은 과일의 단맛이 풍성하게 입을 채우고, 여운에는 와인 풍의 과실 향과 단맛이 길고 진하게 남아 마무리 캐스크의 개성을 드러낸다.

From 72 points for the older version to... 72 points for this new one, even if it’s more, err, ‘concentrated’ – to say the least. Glenmorangie Nectar d’Or (46%, OB, Sauternes finish, 2007) Exit Madeira and Burgundy, here’s a Sauternes finish. It’s not impossible that new owners LVMH provide the distillery with their own empty Sauternes casks (yes, it’s Sauternes with an s at the end. Sauterne is a pale copy made in America, or a frequent misspelling done by some of our Scottish friends. Well, I do it myself sometimes, but not on labels, eh!)
