하일랜드 동부 글렌 기리의 옛 피티드 기질이 이 1979년 빈티지에 또렷하게 살아 있다. 옅은 황금빛 아래 마른 훈연과 잘 익은 딸기, 약품 같은 흙내의 향이 깃들어 있다. 50도의 도수가 입안에서 그을린 과일과 꿀, 마른 풀과 옅은 후추를 단단하게 풀어놓는다. 옛 글렌 기리다운 개성 있는 연기와 과일의 여운이 길고 또렷하게 남는다.
