잔을 코끝으로 가져가면 탈리스커 특유의 후추 같은 매캐함과 바다 내음이 먼저 다가온다. 잔을 흔들면 리필 호그스헤드에서 온 옅은 꿀과 레몬, 가벼운 연기가 따라 올라온다. 50도의 한 모금을 머금으면 스카이 섬다운 짭조름함이 후추 향과 함께 혀를 자극한다. 천천히 삼키면 매콤한 온기와 굴 껍데기 같은 미네랄이 입안 깊이 되돌아온다.
