어두운 호박빛이 잔 속에 잔잔히 잠겨 있다. 1953년에 증류되어 30년을 묵은 탈리스커는 고든 앤 맥페일의 블랙 라벨 골든 이글 시리즈로 옛 시대의 풍채를 간직한 채 병입되었다. 노즈에는 잘 익은 자두와 가죽, 옅은 후추가 풀려난다. 입에서는 마른 오크와 시트러스 껍질, 가벼운 바다 소금이 40퍼센트 도수에 실려 부드럽게 흐른다. 옛 스카이 섬 탈리스커의 또렷한 향신료가 여운에 깊게 머문다.
