잔을 손안에서 굴리면 맑은 금빛이 잔 벽을 따라 가볍게 흐른다. 잔을 흔들어 향을 깨우면 탈리스커 특유의 후추 같은 연기와 짭조름한 바다 기운, 시트러스가 솟는다. 2012년 증류해 10년을 보낸 이 위스키를 한 모금 혀에 올리면 48.4도가 훈제 후추와 보리 단맛, 옅은 재를 펼친다. 넘기고 나면 매운 후추와 소금이 길게 남는다.
