잔을 흔들면 맑은 황금빛이 가볍게 잔 안에서 일렁인다. 코끝으로 가져가면 탈리스커답게 갯내음과 검은 후추, 옅은 훈연이 날카롭게 솟아오른다. 한 모금을 머금으면 2008년 증류한 여덟 해 원액답게 그을린 보리와 짭짤한 미네랄이 혀를 자극하고 57.5도의 기운이 후추 같은 매운맛을 강하게 밀어 올린다. 삼키면 스카이 섬의 바닷바람 같은 짠 연기가 입천장에 또렷이 깃든다.
