잔을 천천히 돌리면 짙은 호박빛이 잔벽을 따라 흐른다. 코를 가까이 하면 탈리스커답게 석탄과 시가 재, 그을음 같은 마른 향이 밀려오고 셰리에서 온 쌉쌀한 코코아가 뒤따른다. 한 모금 머금으면 50도의 질감이 혀를 감싸며 쌉싸름함과 석탄의 풍미, 바다 소금기가 번진다. 더글라스 랭이 병입한 이 스카이 몰트는 탈리스커 특유의 검은 후추와 잿내를 혀 뒤로 길게 남긴다.
